To become an integrated communications agency for sustainability and ESG, a lot has happened on our journey and here we'll tell you a little about it, starting with our purpose.

This story began in 2013 with the desire to support brands and organizations that are making a difference in the climate emergency through communication.

It wasn't even a common term.

It was called global warming and the brands and organizations that were concerned about it had corporate social responsibility departments, rarely sustainability departments.

Since then, other terms have emerged, such as Positive Impact, ESG and Regeneration.

What about us? We’re continuing to do what we’ve always done since day zero:

Taking care of the communication of brands that are responsible for their impact on society.

Profile was founded by journalist Rodrigo V Cunha after eight years’ experience working on the communications strategy for sustainability at Banco Real, which was later bought by Banco Santander.

During this period, the bank has become a benchmark in the field, with awards from the UN and the Financial Times, among many others.

It wasn't certain that it would be possible to have a business focused on communication for sustainability, but our first clients gave the positive signal:

From then on, we focused on public relations and directed our business to work exclusively on issues connected to the UN's SDGs.

No exceptions. We often say that if it’s about launching a new gasoline-powered car or ultra-processed food, there are many agencies that will probably do it better than us. But if we’re talking about sustainable mobility or regenerative food, then it’s up to us.

In 2019, we became a Certified B Corporation, a pioneer among communications agencies in Brazil and worldwide. We will be recertified in 2023 and are active in movements such as the Global Compact and others.

In 2020, we took a historic turn in our business, when we started looking after Mercado Livre’s sustainability communications account.

From then on, we specialized in narrative and integrated communication for sustainability, serving brands such as Natura, Santander, Nestlé, Ninho, Nescafé and Grupo SBF. Today, our portfolio includes 4 of the 5 most admired brands in the Merco Social Responsibility ranking:

Itaú, Mercado Livre, Ambev and Natura. And others we admire, such as CCR, Volkswagen, VLI. And many others that we admire, such as B3, CCR, Volkswagen, VLI

In 2024, we took another important step. In order to meet the demands of all communication disciplines, we carried out an M&A process with our now sister agency, Look & Feel.

With the widening discussion of the climate emergency and the arrival of the world's most important climate event, theCOP30 in Brazil, we opened operations in Manaus and Belém.

The Amazon is the focus that Profile has chosen to support the climate transition, but without limiting itself to this biome.

We are also institutional supporters of TEDxAmazônia, which will return to Brazil in 2023, 13 years after the original event.
